List Manager Tutorial

The shortest path from a database table to a live, searchable page. This is the express version — the other tutorials explain every option in depth.

1. Register the list (1 min)

Components → List Manager → Add. Name it, pick your table in Database Table, Save. No table yet? Use Database Options → New table first.

2. Choose the columns (1 min)

Click Fields/Columns. For each column you want visible, open it, set a clean Name/Title and turn on Visible (Display tab). Turn on Include in search (Advanced tab) for the text columns. Save & Close.

3. Set the order and page size (1 min)

Display → add a Default order column; on Pagination set the page size (e.g. 10). Save & Close.

4. (Optional) add a filter (1 min)

Display → Filters → Add Items. Name it, pick the Field, set Type = Select. Save.

5. Publish (1 min)

Menus → Add New Menu Item. Type = List Manager → List Manager; on Options choose your list. Save & Close and open the page on your site.
