Hello,

today I bought the listmanager extension and
try to use it in my homepage. But I have no luck. I use joomla 1.5.22
an a siteground template. In the backend I can manage the list and I´m
also able to add some entrys.
In the frontend I can not the the list entrys. I only see the form
for adding new entrys. Also the buttons cancel, save or add are not
working..... Have you any idea?!?!?!

I need to use multiple options to be sum.

Option1:
White = 100
Black = 200
Blue = 300

Option2:
Orange = 100
Purple = 200
Yellow = 300

The user choose the 2 options and the values are sum. Ex.:

Option1: White (100)
Option2: Purple (200)

The sum will be 300.

How would be this code, please?

How can I add a submit button to use the selected options to have action "submit" in the form? The Submit button must be side by side with the "Calculate" button.

Before purchasing, I checked the other posts about this, and even tried a link on your demo and it worked until I tried to place the kind of link I need in the text field and it's not seeming to work.

Is it too long? For some reason it's not working on my site and you have a limit placed in that field on your demo.

And the down limit and up limit fields won't accept values so I can't try to make them longer.

Your extension is unusable to me unless I can add these links to my list.

I've looked everywhere I can think of for where to change the color that comes up when hovering over a listing. (on my template it's the same color as that on your Best Sellers demo)

Your extension seems very interesting, but I have a question. I have a list, let's say a products list, with numerous fields. I don't want to show all fields in the list, but only selected ones. Is there a way to view all fields while clicking on the product ? I don't think so, reading your documentation. But is it a future task you're planning ?

I have installed the component and module and i have also uploaded some example files (calculations) from you webpage.
The problem is as follows. When i have opened a calculator i can not change anything. Even a the button save, matrix etc. do not work. it shows on the bottom "error on page"
There is also no result field displayed on the page. Also the export to pdf or excel does not work.

I am trying to make my 1st form but I get errors.
The formula is
HbA1c X 33.3 – 86 = MBG

I want for a given HbA1c to calculate MBG.

So I made 1 variable hba1c and the formula $result=$hba1c*33.3–86;

but I get tis error:

Hi,

I just bought your extension cause I need a simple directory listing for a spareparts catalog.

Now I have created a spareparts listing with five fields.

We have about 5000 spareparts, so this results in 25000 records in the listmanager vlues table.

(imported it with CSV, that worked although it took a while)


now i cannot open the data in my list, I get a memory allocation error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted


How can I get this working?

The data list shouldn't try to pick up every record at once, should it?

I am having some issues installing 0.0.3 of listmanager onto my joomla 1.7.3 website. 0.0.2 installed without a hitch but there are some features in 0.0.3 that i really want/need

The component installs fine but the module fails with this error:

I am trying to include some text with some ROI calculators to explain to the user how the calculationis done. As I cannot include text in the Calc Builder itself, I've added some PHP to the pdf creation module but I'd like to have different calculators use different explanatory text. Can I pass a variable from the calculation entry area to the pdf, Excel and email creation modules?

Just found one rather minor issue. But it's kind of annoying though:

When you hover the mouse cursor above the "info" icon two pop-up hints appear. One bacause of default browser behaviour showing the pop-up when a TITLE parameter is defined inside <IMG> tag. And there is the second one I can't figure our where is it from.

Please take a look, how it appears in the latest versions of IE, Firefox and Chrome:

Hallo everyone.

I have just encountered an interesting problem in my calculations... I need to round up numbers sometimes normally (1.1 -> 1; 1.5 -> 2) and sometimes I need to force rounding down (1.9 -> 1) sometimes up (1.1 -> 2). Why? Because when the result of 2.9 business cards to be printed together on one A4 paper means that there will only be 2 of them usable.

While unable of any advanced PHP coding I have seemingly solved it via this formula:

// Let's have the input number $num rounded normally
$num_round=number_format($num,0);

// Let's substract the rounded value from the input one
$subst=$num-$num_round;

// Let's force $num to be rounded up everytime
// If the result is biger then 0, add 1 to the rounded number
if ($subst > 0) $num_round_up=$num_round+1;
else $num_round_up=$num_round;

// Let's force $num to be rounded down everytime
// if the result is bellow 0, substract 1 from initial rounded number
if ($subst < 0) $num_round_down=$num_round-1;
else $num_round_down=$num_round;

This works quite well with any bumber up to 999... but, above thousand it's messed up thanks to the fact, that the initial rounded number features "," divider - 1,000 and it's broking any other math processes.

Please, could you recommend any other reliable solution for rounding the resulting number up and down while letting it be pur number in the end?

I've purchased and installed List Manager 0.0.3 in a Joomla 1.7.3 site. I can create a new list and add entries using the administrative screens, but when I put List Manager for that list on a menu item and try to access it from the frontend I get this message:

I'm looking to build a salary calculation tool based on some research we have had done. This involves...

A form with a series of questions

Each question has a 'mark' or score

The scores are added together to give total out of 110

This total is then used to calculate the salary. Our data includes three data points an upper, lower and median salary. We would output these three values from the mark.

Am I looking at the right component to do this?

I can make a list, but on the frond end i can add data (rights and settings in menu are good)

When i want to add data in the back-end i get a lot of errors.

Hi. I'm no php coder so some of this may seem really noob. I am trying to build a calculator that has 2 input fields.

Field 1: input number
Field 2: input number (percentage) but has a starting default number (6%) that can be changed
Calculation: Field 1 multiplied by Field 2 (percentage), dvided by 2 then multiplied by 20% = answer

Can u give sample code I can start working off of? I need to create a variety of these that use simular formulas.

Hi I've bought and installed your product and everything is good, it does just what I wanted.

However I have a slight problem with sending email. Every time I try to send I get the message "Error sending Email, Try again later".

I created a List with Chinese contents. It shows Chinese contents on the web site without problems. However, when I export my List to either pdf or Excel format, the Chinese contents do not show up instead showing with ?????. How can I show the contents with Chinese characters in pdf or Excel? when I want to edit an entry and click on the pen, the entry appears and all field are filled in but the text area. It is empty. What can I do here?

Then when I edited the entry and click "save" it creates a new entry and the old one which I wanted to edit still exits.

I have downloaded both 0.0.2 and the 0.0.3 files, when I try to upload them through extension manager, it gives me an error code saying there was an error uploading the file to the server. Am I doing this right? How do I successfully upload the file?

I just updated my Joomla from 1.7 to 2.5 and hoped that this extension would work in 2.5 like almost all other 1.7-extensions. It seems though that it has problems with views (like Jevents had) or something else because I have white screen when I try to view the component from frontend. Or is it just me doing something wrong? Backend works fine though. I hope you're working currently with new version because this extension looks like a perfect piece to my puzzle. ;)

I love your product. The only problem is, that i have absolutey no knowledge in writing the calcbuilder codes. Is it possible to make the Calculation first in an Excel sheet and convertet it then into the right code automatically. For example with a converterprogramm ? I would like to build at least 15 Calcbuilders for alle kind of bicycle calculations.

The search and show options look out of format... and truthfully, I would prefer they not be there... my list should never grow past say even 12 players per team, and if they are all on one page that's all I need to show.

Also, when I refresh the page I can see the "edit" screen pop-up then go away... no one on the front end should ever be able to change players... is there a way to stop that?

I could write only 44 letters into the input-field (name). If I change in administrator / components / com_calcbuilder / views / tmpl / edit.php Linie 228 + 408 from size=10 to size=20 the input-length only is changing. If I write longer sentences and save the documents the letters are cut after 45 letters. I would like to write input name as longer description with several sentenses. Can you help me?

I have a problem. I translate en_GB to czech and use cs_CZ, but calc builder isnt support diacritic. Not on buttons and not in export to XML and PDF.

Hi, I am using version 0.1.1.
I have two option lists in my calculation page.
When "Enter" key is pressed after selecting items from the option lists, we are directed to a results page instead of showing the results of the ajax request on the same page.
The results page is a white page consisting only the calculation results.
Is it possible to have the results shown on the same page instead of being directed to the results page when enter key is pressed from the keyboard.

The "calculate" button works as we wish.
We need the "enter" key to work like clicking "calculate" button.
Please let us know if you can understand why this may happen.

I have some troubles getting Calc Builder to interact with a table in a MySQL database.

The database name is ‘ifabrix_com’ and the table is called ‘Konstruktioner’.
You can see the table on the homepage www.ifabrix.com
Each row in the table is a ‘Konstruktion’.

At the bottom you can see the calculation module. I want the drop down menus a1-d1 to contain values from the column Konstruktion.

I have tried following in the field type ’Option list’ under add SQL string but it doesn't work:
SELECT ‘Konstruktion’ from ‘Konstruktioner’
And:
USE ’ifabrix_com’; SELECT ‘Konstruktion’ from ‘Konstruktioner’

I also need to pull out the value ’Døgnlagringskapacitet’ attached to each ‘Konstruktion’ for further calculations.

First of all, I would like to thank you for the good product.
I am not an expert in php, so I have been trying to create a simple calculator using your "Business cards" template. I still can not find a way to round up numbers, even tried the solution described in a previous post here.

Here is my code:

As I said, I took as a base the Business cards template and modified to my needs.
The calculator will have to calculate the price for translation services from one language to another. So, the normal price is 13, if from NL: 16. As you can see on the code, there is also discount depending on the number of pages.
So, I would like to have the 'base' (price per unit) and the '$var1' displayed with 2 numbers after the comma.
I would even go even deeper and put an 'if', so the discount is displayed on a separate row below the number of pages and the price per unit only the cases when a discount applies and then the total. But I suppose it's too far for my php knowledge :-)

Second issue that I experienced is the display of the calculator within an article. It does not include the main menu on the left. I am using the standard Beez5 template from Joomla and I tried everything, but I could not get the menu displayed on the article with the calculator. Strangely enough, I have the same issue with the Xmap.

I do realise that it might not be part of your support tasks to help anyone with the php codes etc., but I would really appreciate if you could help me with the above issues!

Hi,

I have tried many methods to get a CSV file loaded into a matrix but can't seem to get the matrix to format correctly with 6 columns.

I end up with 1 column and all 6 column values per row entered into the 1 cell of each row in the single column.

Please advise.

I've purchased and installed List Manager Version 0.0.3 in a Joomla 2.5.1 site. I can create a new list and add entries using the administrative screens, but when I put List Manager for that list on a menu item and try to access it from the front end then only add entries form appears but list added by is not appearing in the front end, and event i am not able to add list from from end also.

I have purchaed the calc component.I have joomla 1.6 installed and i installed the 0.1 v ersion in my site.

But i am unablet to see the admin menu options for eg no options there to display such as Genereal, fieldcode,sections, prefrences etc.

We remove the container console error form the page and still we are facing issue on this page. Now we have still one console error on this page which is

This error is appear on line no. 1441 in modules/mod_listmanager/tmpl/content.php this files

I have Joomla 1.5.26 installed, installed the Calc Builder Component and Module, but cant install the model files. Getting the following error:

Any advice ?

I am attempting to insert my very first "cost calculator" i've created into my webpage. Using Joomla 2.5, I go into the Module Manager and click Add but I do not get an option to select 'Calc Builder' as a module type. If I can't create a Calc Builder module and set a position, then I can't insert my calculator into an article using the {loadposition XX} either. Am I missing something or can someone help me please?

Calc Builder 2.0 is a great Joomla Extension, worked perfect!

Hi

I want to send an email to administrator not on calculate but as a kind of submit-button.

Is there a way I can make a default email address instead of the inputbox that shows when the "Show send by email?"-option is active.

In that way a customer can try to calculate various combinations of diffenrent goods and when satisfied click the submit-button and the administrator gets the preorder- or enquiry-form.

Not logged in the list is showed perfectly!

As soon as you logged in on the frontend I get a 500 error. The page isn't showed :-(.

How do I create a calculator that is already set up in excel? Don't know php

Is it possible to remove the calculate button and have the exit layout variables visible and populate and update instantaneously (1 - 2 seconds) when a user enters a value into the form?

I'd like to skip the user having to click the calculate button to see the results and have the results display in real time as they are manipulating the form.

Don't know if this is possible. On the list out put the text in the 'Text Area' box loses it's format when saved.

For example I input it like this

Line 1
Line 2
Line 3

But it comes out on the saved page like this

Line 1 Line 2 Line 3

It's as if the carriage return is being ignored. Is there a way to retain it's format?

Also is it possible to change the date output format? It reads 2012-04-26 I would like it to read 26-4-2012.

And lastly (sorry) under the basic options there is an option to order the output by the column name. I tried it by date and it works but it orders it by the oldest date first. I need it by newest date first.

Why is there no tutorial or documentation showing different code? The downloading examples does not show me to much. This app is very difficult to use. The code portion needs to be drop down as well such as multiply this to that. I am trying to do this, Where the agent can input his policy #'s for the month in different lines of business and input Avg premium which would already be set but can be changed. And it would calculate years of commissions from 1-5 real easy. I understand I can create field for each cell.

For example lets say the agent inputs $500 for average auto premium and he sells 10 policies.

I need (num1 500)*10%= 50 (num2 10)*50= 500 500*80%=400 400 new business commissons

then After 1 year (num2 10)*50*2 = 1000*60%= 600

So it would look like this

avg. premium: $500 # of polices: 10
New Business Commissions = $400 /month
After 1 Year = $1000 /month
2nd yr. ect..
3rd yr ect..

Ok I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I have been working on this for awhile and it is getting annoying. There is NO preview button so I have to keep going back into the website to view if its working.

Variable ap1 is number default at 500
Variable nb1 is number default is 10% or .1
Variable num1 is number NO default


$commissions=$ap1*$nb1;
$inc1=$commissions*$num1;

$commissions2=$ap2*$nb2;

This results in some values are incorrect??

Even when I try to copy the simple calculator into another calc. it gives me the some values are incorrect. It looks like the same exact calender the php code is the same I copied and pasted it and same as the layout. Yet the simple calender works and the new one gives the error. I have no idea what the deal is. Thinking I will take a refund here real soon.

Ok I got the value error to go away now I need this to calculate three things commissions for years 1-3 and display like this

is it possible to change the text area field (after clicking the 'Add' button) customized width and height? At this moment a visitor needs to drag the area to have a good look at the words that are typed. In my case I want a text area field width from 500px an 50px height.

I am having a strange issue with the "send an email" feature and I am uncertain what is causing it. After the formula is calculated the send an email box pops up and when i enter an email address and click send a random error appears.

Sometimes the error is just three numbers like; 901, 121, etc and sometimes its the sum of the form. I does not say email sent or anything like that - but heres the storage in it all, the email does get sent.

Here is the code that I am using for cubic weight calculator, figured I add this just in case something was wrong here:

I bought LM a few days ago and initially had problem installing. After installing, I found the setup rather easy. But when I tried to set up the front end to view, it came out blank.

I am using Joomla 1.5.15 and I realized that there have been some postings on the same issue for other Joomla version.

I am not sure if the issues are the same but I did expect everything to be easy to use as I read the initial reviews and thought so.....I guess I was wrong.

Hope someone can assist as the idea behind this is really good but unfortunately, for me, the error is a major one since it cannot even be visible in the front end.

The progress bar is showing NaN% no matter what numbers are added.

Hi, i bought your calculator component yesterday and i am trying to make it work BUT it seems even with a small calculation like your demo 2 numbers sum, the calculator button does not do anything.

My web site is on a localhost at the moment and i am using the rockettheme PANACEA. (rt_panacea_j15)
though i tried other tempaltes as well and again the calculation button DOES NOT work even with the default joomla template.

I have read the forum and i have seen all the similar topic's but what you recommend to them it seems is not good for my site.

I am including the header of my site so that you can see what i load. (also i have tried to include jquery using the jQuery Includer (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-management/site-performance/10236) as it is not clear but i also tried to include that just in case it solved the problem .

I need to import file (pdf or txt or rtf or Html ecc) into a text area field of my site page.
For example I saved an excel sheet selected area in HTML therefore I copied into an HTML area field of Listmanager but It does not work properly. I read in my site page only the its code.
Is there other way I can import also in an automatic manner?

First combo box ($cat_1) is an option list and the other 3 (cat_1_link, cat_1_link_link, cat_1_link_link_link) are linked lists.

I have 2 problems:
1)Linked list works only for the first section. When changing option list in sections 2 to 5, all the other linked lists aren't refreshed.

2) How can i calculate which option selected in each section? I am using $cat_1 for the option list to get selected item, but this doesn't work for the 3 linked lists.

I'm having an issue with this formula:

On the site I have a cost calculator that takes the Length X Width X Height - The Actual Weight - and then multiples it by the chosen Rate.

I seems to work accurately with small numbers but when I enter 100x100x100 then 250 (for actual weight) and choose 1.57 per pound on the cost the results are not accurate.

The way this calculation is supposed to work (it does with smaller numbers) is it first calculates the cubic weight LxWxH which in this case would be 1,000,000 then compares it to the Actual Weight which is 250, then chooses the larger between the Cubic weight and Actual Weight and then multiples by the Rate..which is $1.57.

When I click calculate it spits out $9.49 when it should be $9457.84 - now if I take the LxWxH and use say 20x20x20 and 250 for the actual weight and $157 for the rate it calculates correctly at $392.50

I'm not sure why it is doing this...I figured a second set of eyes might see something I'm not.

When I click the configuration menu inside Listmanager, I get an incomplete corrupt page. The full admin template does not load up.
All I see is the following, in the top left hand corner, on a white background:

I added the user field to track which user has added a record, however, when a record is added the user field in the view is blank (has no value).

If I choose a user in the backend, it will show up in the view, however when admin add comment or the user update the record the "User" file is blank in the view.

I have implemented ListManager for a list of books. I have used the Load Data screen to load more than 500 records. The data is showing on the frontpage but on the admin page I can only see the first page (for ex. 20 records). If I change the number of records or click on the navigation buttons (next page) I see a blank page and no fields on top. Also the search function is not working.
It is clearly a bug, I hope you can help me with this.

Is it possible when the user clicks the calculate button that the results can be displayed in a pop-up window? If so, what do I have to do to do this?

I have a directory I am using your software, listmanager, to manage. I purchased the 0.3 version and recently discovered the 1.X version. Per your instructions, I exported the directory (almost 1500 entries), uninstalled the old, installed the new, and imported the data. Unfortunately when I imported the data, nothing appears when I view the directory from the front-end. The back-end shows the data. I removed the menu, re-created the menu, and several other things; but could not get the directory to appear. I opted to create a second directory with the same layout, which has 11 fields/columns. As I was manually entering the records, I noticed the directory was showing the records on the front end. I attempted another re-import. I was refreshing the directory on the front-end while the data was being imported and I could see the listings grow. When the import finished, the directory no longer showed on the front end. I began deleting 20 rows from the back-end. I deleted about 60 rows and noticed the directory appeared on the front-end. I began manually entering the deleted 60. I think I manually entered about 30, refreshed the front end, and the directory no longer appears. I went back to the back-end and deleted 40 rows and the directory has re-appeared. The data I am entering is nothing unique--i.e. name, street, city, state, zip, country, phone, E-Mail, web, and fax. The only thing I considered was a limit of your software.

Here is the solution to add an email validation to one of your form fields, which you have typed 'text'.

Go to javascript events, and write this:

getCBFormValue('x').addClass('validate-email');


Where 'x' is the field ID (from fields and code tab).

I just bought LISTMANAGER and installed it on a Joomla 1.5.26 site. I set up a list in the component, and then enabled the module and attached the module to one of my pages. When I go to the page, I get the heading of the list, but the data for the list shows up in a popup dialog, with text of the following:

I have one question, hopefully you have faced this before. Is it at all possible, for when the user clicks the calculate button, the form layout hides as the exit layout shows, and when the reset button is clicked, the form layout is displayed again?

as we have received during last days several questions about slider
integration with fields of calcbuilder, here you have instructions to
make a third party js library work together with number or text fields
(many thanks to Keith for sharing the final solution).
The library can be found here:

You should download the slider control and upload/include the script
libraries and styles (codebase folder), adding them to your template and
setting the right paths, insert inside a script tag:

Can the results table have a $ sign in front of certain fields and % in front of others?

I have what I thought was going to be a simple calculation but can't work out how to include it in to Calc Builder. As I said it is simple and I am sure that the answer is simple.

I want a visitor to be able to enter a value (no decimal) - No problem create a field

I then want to take that value and divide it by a constant (85,000) = A

I then want to round the result up to the next whole number (I would add .99 and then drop anything after the decimal point) = B

I also need to divide the result 'A' by a constant of 2 and then round it up to the next whole number.

The result are to be displayed in a column fashion (I think I have this sussed)

Calc one = Round down((amount/85,000)+.99)
Calc two = Round down(((amount/85,000)/2)+.99)

When you see a module-list of plugin-list in Joomla, the background switches each line (white, light blue, white, livht blue, …)

The Listmanager is all white.

Is there any possibility that we can do the same type of background?

If you have a long or wide list, it’s easier for the viewer to read the line with info.

My table listing shows with a very tiny font that is unreadable.

I found the CSS file in modules/mod_listmanager/assets/css/default.css

Could you point to the css selector that controls that?

2 quick questions...
1. On the bottom of the results table there is the "export to" pdf or excel. The text and icons are very small. I was able to make the pdf and excel icons larger but couldn't find where to edit the "export to" text. I wanted to change the actual wording to "export as pdf or excel; Click on the following icons" or something like that

2. We have created a custom financial calculator with a lot of variables. It would be great to be able to add a popup javascript event when you hover the mouse over a field that says something like "enter $125,000 for example" or "ie 15%"

I have created a couple of calculators for a site but my client would like to output a text line rather than the normal output when one of the results is negative.

I had a quick look at the 'Javascript events' but I am not sure if this is the area where I should be looking.

The other examples did install successfully.

Any help will be appreciated.

Don't know if there are any other place where the matrix example is documented further or how to lookup values in a table to do calculations. I am looking at calculating unit prices and installation prices based on options the user selects.

In fields and code section, in php code, I try to get url param, but it doesn't seems to work.
For example : $_SERVER doesn't show param, and $_GET) show the ID of my homepage (instead of the ID of the page where my form is).
How can we get params from url within this php code section ?
NB : url of the page where form is published is index.php?option=com_community&view=groups&task=viewgroup&groupid=24&Itemid=581&lang=fr and I would like to get "groupid" param.

My new calculator works perfect when using Google Chrome, no problems. However, when I use the latest version of Internet Explorer or Safari (iPhone 3GS) I get error messages. With IE, I get 'error on page, with no results. With Safari I receive error message "0 :" Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I need to know how I can simplify the top bar, I only need the search box but not the next/previous or "show all" buttons - how can I remove them? I just want a simple searchable sortable list that limits results.

I am using the Module for display in front end for I'm getting an error when using the component for display.

hy, y have some problems with the component. I make changes in the backend but in the front doesn't appear. I try with an exemple from with your page but the result is the same. I reload the page from another computer but the same. I try to change the "sum" it doesn't change. what am i missing?? how can y do some chenages? when the changes appear?

Cant get it to work on a live site so I installed j1.5.26 on a test site

Installed moonsoft tester and get these results

The CSS-file I'm trying to edit for the layout is at: /modules/mod_listmanager/assets/css/default.css
I hope this is the right one.

I found in some other topics, that I have to edit .lm_trblack en .lm_trwhite to create difference in colors for the result-lines.

In my test-case its now:

but the result is a full white background, without any colors.

I removed my previous installation and setup a whole new table.
Now I'm using version 1.1.1 for Joomla 2.5

I've setup the table, enabled the component but I have blank page.
When I go to the table properties, and want to see a previeuw, it's fully loaded with data. The preview in the component is ok, the output on the front-end is blanco.
Even when I press 'show all' it's empty

Also in the Module Manager: Module mod_listmanager, under the "List Manager View Options" I've set the both email-fields to NO.
When I look at the front-end, there is still a emailfield under my (blanco) table.

Where does User Name for a particular record created in the component stored? I am developing a form and wanted to access the TABLES to get the records associated for a user? How to do this?

Also, i wanted 2 custom fields which i know i can create and NOT exhibit in the form. But these custom fields should be populated by my logic which will be stored in my SESSION variable. How do i do this?

If I leve scjquery disabled CalcBuilder does nothing and gives a system message (sort of a pop-up window) that says "Internal Server Error" on evaluation.

If I enable scjquery it gives on evaluation the following error:

I have just purchased List Manager. I'm running a Joomla 2.5.8. Before installing the component I installed and published in a position at the home page the module Moonsoft Tester. However, the page displays for a second and then goes blank, going into a state that seems to be loading endlessly.
Before I install Lm, could someone help me in this issue?

Setup the Module for List Manager, connected to menu item and it would display table but not the data entered (5 test items) It would have a circle spinning that indicated loading but would never load. Tried making a menu item that was just a List Manager menu item and then linked the List Manager module to that menu item and return a 500 error. Been playing with this and reviewing forum for about 6 hours with no positive results.

I'm working with CB and I find it very useful. My problem is that I'm italian and, in our language, the apex is very much used.

I have a textarea for my customers, and if they write in it a string without apex, there's no problem. Otherwise, they get a 500 html error.

I tried

but it doesn't work.

But, if I try

str_replace("a", "-", $note);

it works...

We just upgraded to 2.2. When I try to save changes to a calculator, clicking "save" or "save and close" takes me to the Joomla control panel and no changes are saved.

I have extracted a rate table out of a spreadsheet into an exported xml calc. Made sure the syntax and formatting is correct. Reason for doing it this way is that there are over 2000 multivalues that need to go in there, impossible to do it manually so I created a macro to convert the data.

When I try importing final calc into Joomla it goes into a blank screen and wont complete the import. Please advise how else it could be done or is Calc Builder unable to import fields with a few thousand multivalues?

I get an error message anytime an apostrophe is entered into a text field. the calculation still comes out accurately, but the error message comes up first.

I just installed List Manager and am in the admin area, about to create my first list. I clicked the "new" button and got a mostly blank page with the error:

I need help with the calculation. I need to have the product between Prezzo and Qta as totale (for several voices) then I need to calculate the global total.
So I have these fields:
Voices, Price, Qta, Total(Price*Qta)
and then the global Total.
The Price values are defined by the administrator of the site, the qta are input by the user.
The form should be like a table with four colums and the Global Total as final calculation.

Then my extension looks wrong and different. I´m missing the code tips on the left (where can i upload a screenshot?), I cannot decide between "Fields" and "Code", there only a combined "Fields and Code"-Link.
Under Preferences i cannot set a name for result button, which is also not showing up, when i´m doing the first example´, the num1 and num1 fields are working fine, also "reset"-button is there.

The installation of the extensions worked fine without problems, also the installation of module was without problems.

Since the Joomla Search with your plugin only lists the view the search result is located, how can we separate the AJAX search from the table header and locate it within a true module position (i.e. Left) and then let it render the data view with the results?

So it would look like below in the left column: Ref --> http://i.imgur.com/g2n0SJ9.png

and then would pull up the page with the search results there.

You will note that the search, show, show all and pagination sections are not properly displayed as in your demo. It seems the height of the row is a bit higher than normal. Can you tell me how to correct.

Hi, I am wondering how to adjust the column widths when the list view is on my website, I seem to get the icons at the end 'Edit' 'Detail' and 'Delete' rolling over onto the next line. If I can make the column widths shorter on my other columns then that would make sure they're all on the same line.

Hi,

I can't edit my HTML fields when I edit or create an entry from the front-end.
If I change the field to text or textarea, no problem but with HTML all I get is a blank field.
I tried to change my editor from JCE to TinyMCE : same result.
I must add that both JCE and TinyMCE do work in front-end article editing.
Any idea ?

Our calculator works perfectly on Chrome, Firefox and Safari - however, when you hit "Calculate" on Internet Explorer 8, even when you haven't selected any of the tick boxes, their original values are automatically added to the total, even though they have not been chosen. Any ideas how to fix this?

Could you please tell how can I multiply option list value with linked list value.
if option list value is 5 and linked list is 5_10, so logically, the formula must contain 5x10, but unfortunately I can't get to this line.

$result=$option*$option_linked (but the result is 5*5, not 5*10)

so, the question is how correctly write a formula to get the multiplation 5*10

also we met a problem with data import to PDF file.
we put ON Show export to PDF, we get the PDF button, but the PDF file itself comes empty. so the problem is - how can we edit the PDF file, also the PDF file preferences(put in logo, company information etc) and make all the chosen preferences in calculator shown in PDF. also how to rename PDF file button.

2. question is based on CSV file import to CalcBUilder. we do have excel approx 40x50 matrix, we will make CSV from it, but it comes too difficult to import the data to CalcBuilder, cause we've installed your program only last week.

When i open my page i can't see result of 1st option in linked list
I also can't just press on first option and get result in linked list.
It is possible only when I press 2 or 3 option and come back to 1st.

I have noticed 2 things since the last version:

1) the multilanguage status link,
instead of staying on the top of the joomla backend menu (near visitor number, admin, link to view site etc),
when i enter calcbuilder, it starts floating in a set length below the top.
I believe it has something to do with the .modal class of your css style.

2) is the option "Show last calculator inputs in frontend. Select type of saving." working?
I tried both settings but the last user input didn't seem to be saving for me. Am I missing something?

Strange thing here : Whenever I try to edit a number type field in the front-end form (no ajax), it fails with the message "This value must have 0 decimals" and then "Incorrect values" no matter it counts 0 or any number of decimals. This only happens in the front-end editing.
I tried to change the number of decimals allowed to no avail, same problem.

I'm using Listmanager 1.1.1 and joomla 2.5. How do I get the text in a field to wrap?

I tried switching the field from Text to Text Area but still all one line. I am looking at your very nice "Countries" demo, trying to have the cells wrap like that.

I have a table of rows, one column is specified as a sort column. When I am showing a partial number of rows (say 20) and use the sort up/down arrows, when I select a first-to-last sort it shows no rows.

It works fine when I select last-to-first.
It works fine when I show all rows, either first-to-last or last-to-first.

I am trying to get a simple calculator working on a site just updated to Joomla 2.5.9. I exported the calculator from Joomla 1.5 and it was working fine, but since the upgrade to Joomla 2.5 it no longer works (I purchased the updated component for Joomla 2.5 and installed it, then imported the calculator from Joomla 1.5).

I have tried importing your example calculators, but none of them work either, so I cannot see what is wrong. The only error message that I can find in my Firefox browser is "TypeError: $(...).addEvent is not a function

I have created a list which allows users to enter data.

However, the pop-up modal entry form for new records on the front end (or in-page form) shows truncated entry fields which only show 2 or 3 characters.

This doesn't allow enough space to enter data. Data can be entered and it will show up in the front end.

All of the field lengths are set to 20 in the List Fields section of the back-end.

It would be great if you enabled forum users to upload a JPG or PNG so you could see.

This might be a wishlist item.

My list includes an email field in it. Currently, ListManager displays this email field in the clear.

Would it be possible instead to display this as a cloaked link to prevent spamming? Or, to use a contact form with a captcha?

Joomla does this with email fields by default.

I don't want to make my users have to enter HTML code to encode their email (they will have no idea how to do that).

when try to show the component by the lan I don't see the correct list.
If I try to click "Export to Excel" or "Export to Pdf" the function doesn't work.

I try it in many version of joomla (1.7.3 and 2.5.9) and many browser:it only works correctly connected to localhost (hosting site).

I work on an iMac and have just started using ListMaker. I have a Business Listing working fine and on my local host. I want to move the dB to production. I thought I would Export to Excel, then use Excel to create CSV which I could then import on production site.
However the Excel Export file can not be opened by Google Spreadsheet and when I use Apple's clone called Numbers, it also says invalid Excel format. I have an image of the Numbers screen which pretty well describes the details but I don't see how to attach that to this thread.

Then in the code I have the following:

$sum=(($hours1+$hours2)/8)*$salary;


This obviously take the two hours divides it by 8 (number of hours in working day) and times it by the salary.

Layout is currently:

Hours2
Salary

Sum =


What I want to do is allow the calculator to display an hours1+hours2 sum after the two fields then I want to also introduce another sum display to work out the cost per day (depending on the salary)

So the display would be:

Hours1 (field)
Hours1 (field)

sum display (1+2) =

Salary (field)

Sum display per day =
Sum display per year =



Can you help me with the code and how to do the display please.

The Joomla theme I am using includes a nice CSS class for forms which I would like to use. How can I use this class for Calc Builder forms? I've tried assigning this class to the input CSS fields but it doesn't work.

Finally, there is some space above the input form. How can I remove/ reduce this?

I imported csv data. It works ok
But i want to edit data in the backend. When i open manage data on the listings manager and select a datarecord, i can see the fieldnames but no data and there is nothing to edit.
