Calc Builder field type: Option List

The Option List is a single-choice drop-down. Each option has a label (shown) and a value (used in the calculation).

Key settings

• Options (field → Preferences) — type them in as label / value pairs, paste a CSV, or pull them from a SQL query .
• The first option can be a placeholder such as -- choose -- with an invalid value.

In code

$variable is the selected option’s value , $variable_name is the selected option text— e.g. if you have a option list named 'plan', and user selects one option with value=3 and text='Custom plan', at your code you'll have$plan (with value 3) and $plan_name ( with value 'Custom plan').
