List Manager 6: filters, search and pagination

These three tools let visitors find rows quickly.

Global search

The search box at the top of the list searches every column whose Include in search option is on (set per field on the Advanced tab of Fields/Columns). Enable Split words in the general Display settings to match each word independently.

Filters

Open Display → Filters and click Add Items for each filter you want. For every filter set:

• Name — the label shown to visitors.
• Field — the column it filters (internal name).
• Type — Select (drop-down of the distinct values found in the column), Text, Checkbox or Range (min–max, great for price or area).
• Apply on change — filter instantly, without a button.
• Apply at startup — show the filter open when the page loads.

In the demo Properties list there are City, Type and Operation select filters. A Clear button resets them all. This is how they look to a visitor:

Pagination

• Pages — how many page links to show around the current page.
• Elements to display — the choices in the “Display N” drop-down, e.g. 6 / 12 / 24.
• Default — the page size used on first load.

The demo shows page sizes 6 / 12 / 24 with a default of 6. The pager and the “Display” box are widgets you place around the table on the Data Layout screen.
