Manage Data from backend 27.10.2023 02:09

Hello Moonsoft

I'm migrating from J3 to J4 and therefore I find a few differences to LM 2.8 in Version 4.5....

Right now I'm trying to edit an individual entry on a list in backend.
(In LM 2.8 it was manage data -> click checkbox for entry -> click edit)

After adding some toolbars on 'data layout', I did get my 'edit'-button back. But when I click either on "NEW" or "EDIT", I get the following error:
-> Cannot use object of type stdClass as array <-

What configuration could I be missing?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
in order to add edition function to your records, the sections that must be configured are:
- Fields section: please ensure you have set all your fields type and valid name.
- Display->form layout. You can just create an automatic layout using the helper buttons.

There's no other requirement to enable the edition form, if you're unable to solve, you can place a ticket at the helpdesk sharing an access, so we can check your settings and let you know if there's something missing in your specific configuration.

Hi

I did not quite succeed (Helpdesk ticket incoming shortly), but while playing around with "Editable inline" I stumbled accross the same error message again:

When clicking on a field of type "HTML Editor" I get again "Cannot use object of type stdClass as array".

Maybe it's related or it's just a coincindence, thought I'd let you know....

Hi,
yes, thank you, in fact that could be the origin of the issue, any specific configuration of the html editor at your site, please place the ticket and we'll let you know how to fix.

Hi

Just a stupid question: What access level do you need?

Re: Manage Data from backend 27.10.2023 15:03

Hi,
we'd need an access that allow us to try and at least 'see' the error you're reporting, so we can find out if there is really an editor issue or another type of conflict.
Thanks, regards
