Manage Data 12.11.2013 15:24

Hello,

Super user edits data in the backend.
i.e modify a value of a column of a list, save it.

Q: Could this modification be reflected in the SQL table as well ?

LM 1.2.14 / joomla 2.5.14

Thanks

Hi,
sorry but we are not sure of where do you check 'the sql table'. When super user edits data from the backend, it's shown at the front end view, as data is stored at listmanager table from both sides. Don't know if this answers your question, please post again if you need further information.

Thank you, best regards

Re: Manage Data 12.11.2013 16:00

Hi,

After I edit / manage the data record, i.e change the value of a column, and save the list, the list shows the change both at the LF back end and at the front end.

I have another window tab running myphpadmin monitoring the SQL table (which is used to load the list). I wonder if any changes to the content of the list could
be reflected to the SQL table as well.

Thanks

Hi,
ok, understood. The query you launched to fill data copies data from the source table, and inserts it at listmanager db structure. After that, the extension handles it's own tables, it doesn't update external databases (please note the data can be loaded from a number of different sources, even from different tables with the same/several queries so it's not 'linked' to the source, but copied).
This is the reason why you won't see admin changes at lm from your phpmyadmin db view.
