Is there a way to create a date field but fill it automatically (not by the user) with a date stamp when a user add an new entry instead of having the user using a date picker manually to fill it.
The goal is to have a field that I can sort on that is based on the date on which an entry is created.

Hello,
at this time you can set any date as default for date fields, but not fill automatically 'today' date. For that purpose, we'll create a new field type (timestamp), which will be available for next release of the extension, as it's a common user request.
