I want to add the same information that ends up in "show pdf export" into an emailed pdf. I'm having trouble figuring out how to write the code. I tried copy and pasting the html code from the Exit Layout into the area of the PHP code under //pdf text. Am I on the right track?

yes, you need to insert the pdf content at the code area, you have available an example of how this function should be coded at the downloadable example

you can find at your customer access section.

I checked out the sample. It looks like it should be pretty easy but I think there's probably something really basic I'm missing. I don't know enough about writing code to make the pdf look real nice. Is that something that you guys can help with? What are your rates?

Hello,
To create PDF, calcbuilder uses css style of module. By default this css is default.css, located at JOOMLA/modules/mod_calcbuilder/assets/css/default.css
In this file you can write some css. This applies to result and to PDF/excel export.
If you need more such as headers, footers or special styles in PDF, you can write us an email (gestion@moonsoft.es) with an example and instructions, and we will give you a quote.
