Predefined Filter in Menu Link 14.03.2017 17:10

Hi

Is there a way to set a filter with a link?
I have an adresslist, and i have 4 admins (north, west, south, east).
The admins should see the whole list but edit (and add) adresses only to their region (north, west, south, east).

How to do that?
Thank you Chris

Hi,
yes, you have several ways to get that. Each table has the option to create 'views', which contain same data from the original table but they add some custom filters and any other different configuration. They can be published as a default table so you would get a filtered data table.

But if you also need your users to see the whole list, instead of publishing for them 2 different tables (one whole table without permissions, and another one filtered with your custom configuration), you can just add an extra column typed 'user' to your list. This way each record will be assigned to the user that introduces it. Now you can publish your table using the module/menu option 'See all/edit only user records' at 'Access control' parameter. It should do the work.

Hope this helps, regards

Hi

And thank you. I just figured it out by myself with the "views".
Great Component.
