why is Add / Edit ACl not same? 13.09.2014 15:51
Dear Team,
My Custormer whats that the registred user have more possiblities and the public one not. That means registered user can add and edit some fields more.
But as I configured the ACL in this way, that the registred user can edit every field and the public one not and test it, I find out that the public one can edit by add the record as well ? In the manual "Quick Guide" is deschribed that these not possible ? I saw this in the modul sources helper.php and form.php as well.
Is it generally possible to prohibit user or better groups to edit by adding a record ? Prohibition by editing is possible over ACL. Could you provide a solution for this issue, it is important for my customer. Thank you in advance.

Hello,
Add and edit are different ACL and could be assign to different groups. As you said, you counfigured public users to not edit, but was also configured to not add?. If you want to disable add to public you should set in in ACL.

The Public User should "add" but ot all fields
Example :
Fields : Name, Town, Url, telefon
Public can add : Name, Town but not Url, telefon
Public edit : Name. Town but niz url, telefon
Registered can add/edit all fields
Is this solution possible ?

Hello,
By now, in List Manager you can't select in ACL what fields user can add. If you check 'add' for a group in ACL, this will show in add form all fields set in 'Form Layout'. Select fields in ACL is only available for editing.
