Option List Filter not working in List VIEW 15.04.2014 15:55

Unless I'm doing something silly I think there's a bug here:

I have a OPTION LIST field which has months of the year.. Name and Value of each option are both Jan, Feb, Mar etc.

In my main list the field is set to be not visible.

Then I create a VIEW of the list and everything works fine with all the data showing at the front-end as I'd expect.

BUT if I then edit the VIEW as I want to and set the Data Filter to 'Contains Jan' or 'Equals Jan' or 'Starts with Jan' then no data gets returned on the front-end screen.

I've tried lower case j but same problem - just no results coming back when I activate that filter????

Can you replicate that issue?

Hi,
when working with option lists, values stored at the database are not the plain texts but unique identifiers of each option, so if you create a view with the filter 'equals text' the condition is not matched. If you used your options values instead (depending on your db, maybe 1-7), you will see the filter returning values. In order to avoid you to search for the proper values of your options, we have replaced the free text condition for an option list where you can select one of your existing options, and the filter query will be created accordingly. Please download new version 2.0.4 and upgrade to see the new option list to configure your view.

Hope this helps, regards
